Aptos Village, Meet Other Brother Beer
Aptos just picked up a very solid new neighbor. Other Brother Beer has officially opened its doors, bringing the Seaside brewery’s second location to Santa Cruz County, and it already feels like it belongs.
If you know Other Brother Beer, you know the drill. Thoughtful, well made craft beer with range and personality, now pouring at a new taproom inside Aptos Village. But this spot is not just about beer. The food program is doing real work here.
Yes, all of their craft beers are on tap, but what surprised us was the menu.
This is an elevated pub lineup with appetizers, salads, and sandwiches that feel intentional, not like an afterthought. All of the sandwiches are served on bread from Manresa Bread, which immediately sets the bar higher.
The chicken parm sandwich has already been getting some buzz, and for good reason. A crispy chicken cutlet, house red sauce, and stracciatella cheese that keeps everything rich without weighing it down. It is familiar, comforting, and very easy to order again.
We also tried the house roast beef with white cheddar, arugula, and horseradish mayo. Balanced, savory, and built like someone actually thought about how each bite would land.
Our personal favorite, though, was the rosemary ham. Served on a baguette with havarti and Dijonaise, it hit that perfect middle ground between hearty and refined. Simple idea, executed the right way.
We would be remiss not to mention the beer cheese and bratwurst, which felt exactly right in this setting. The kind of thing you order once and then start scanning the menu to see what else you can add.
Aptos Village, welcome Other Brother Beer to the neighborhood. This one feels like it is here to stay.
