Seabright Deli Is One of the Best Sandwich Spots in Santa Cruz
Some spots you just keep coming back to. Seabright Deli is one of them.
This is a mom and pop shop on Seabright Ave voted best sandwiches in Santa Cruz County. They smoke their chicken and brisket on site every single day. Everything is made in house and it shows in every bite.
We brought friends visiting from the city and took them straight here. Four sandwiches. No complaints.
What We Ordered
The Yacht C.L.U.B. House smoked pulled chicken, cheddar, bacon, fresh tomatoes, arugula, and sun dried tomato aioli on a toasted Francese roll. A crowd pleaser for a reason.
The Beach Bum New York style pastrami, sauerkraut, house made thousand island, and Swiss cheese on toasted marble rye. A straight up deli classic done right.
The Surfer House smoked chicken, Vermont cheddar, BBQ sauce, pickled onions, sun dried tomato aioli, arugula, and mayo on a toasted Francese. A little smoky, a little tangy, completely dialed in.
The Seabright New York style pastrami, Swiss cheese, and their coriander mustard aioli on toasted marble rye. This one was gone before anyone could take a photo. That tells you everything.
Worth Knowing
The brisket sandwiches were sold out on our visit. That happens and it just means you go early. Also do not leave without checking the dessert case. The homemade banana pudding is famous for a reason.
Two blocks from Seabright Beach, dog friendly patio, local craft beer on tap. The kind of spot you eat at outside and take your time.
Tuesday through Sunday, 11am to 3:45pm.
Go hungry.
